Stacey Wexler, Director

Stacey Wexler is a Vice President in the Legal Department at Google, overseeing areas including privacy, law enforcement and information security, competition, communications, and legal online operations. She was previously Director of Litigation, Employment, and Discovery.

Prior to joining Google, Stacey was a partner at Keker & Van Nest in San Francisco.

She graduated from the University of Michigan and Boalt Hall School of Law, and clerked for the Honorable D. Lowell Jensen of the Northern District of California and the Honorable Melvin Brunetti of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

    This year's Civil Symposium takes a wide ranging look at civil justice issues facing our courts, including the role of the Asian American community in civil rights litigation, ADA litigation, the waiver of intellectual property rights during the COVID-19 pandemic, mask and vaccine mandates during the pandemic, and qualified immunity. The symposium also features a mock argument involving high school students and a conversation between retired Judge and former Stanford Law School Assistant Dean LaDoris Cordell and Judge Haywood Gilliam about her new book--Her Honor:  My Life on the Bench . . . What Works, What’s Broken, and How to Change It.
